Holiday Cookie Exchange & Wine Tasting

Pintler's Portal Hostel and WINES by V will be co-hosting a Holiday Tasting Event full of wine and cookies! We provide the wine. You provide the cookies! 

Did you know that many wines have flavor profiles you also find in cookies? Clove, lemon, anise, ginger, cocoa, nuts, and more are all very common to taste in wine. In this fun evening, V will be guiding guests through a compare and contrast of flavors found in our cookies and our wine.

What cookies will we be tasting? That depends on you! In traditional cookie exchange fashion, guests will prepare a plate of 38 (or more) of your favorite holiday cookies, along with 38 recipe cards, and bring them with you. Once everyone arrives, we will lay all of the cookies out and share them amongst the group. PPH will provide the wine, and WINES by V will guide you through an educational tasting as we learn to identify flavors in our wine that are highlighted by the various cookies our guests bring.  

Entry will be limited to 38 people because that is the number of beds at the hostel. Your ticket comes with a bed in the hostel which enables everyone to safely enjoy their evening of wine and cookies. Gather a group of your favorite people and extend your night into a sleepover!  

Tickets are $65 and include 4+ glasses of wine, wine education by V, a bed in the hostel, a plate full of 38 kinds of cookies, other small bites to nibble on, and a hoot of an evening.

Q: Can I join if I don't intend on staying the night? 

A: Yes! The ticket includes a bed, but if you opt to not sleepover, that will not be a problem.

Q: Can I bake my cookies on site? 

A: Yes! There is a full kitchen and two ovens. You are welcome to prepare your cookies at the hostel if you'd like. 

Q: What time should I arrive? 

A: The wine portion of the evening starts at 6pm. However hostel check-in begins at 3pm, so feel free to come early and get settled in!

Q: What time does the event end? 

A: The guided wine tasting portion of the evening will run from 6pm -8pm. You are welcome to stay and hang out all evening. Your ticket includes a bed in the hostel and check out isn't until the next morning at 11am.
