About the Event
Join Jackie Vetter, Southwest Montana-based actor, and director, as she takes you through the audition process, for theatre and film. This class is geared at any skill level, from seasoned to starting young artists all the way to pros in our area! Learn about where to find auditions in your region and beyond, as well as how to put your best foot forward in monologue, scene, and cold read auditions. Specific scenes and material will be selected for the class for mock auditions! No experience is necessary, just a willingness to learn! If you have ever wanted to try acting but never knew where to start, this workshop is for you!
About the Workshop Artist:
Jackie Vetter (she/her) is a Theatre Actor/Theatre Director/Acting Coach based in Anaconda, MT. Jackie has been a working professional in theatre for the past 14 years as an arts administrator, actor, director, set designer, costume designer, sound designer, and house manager. Her favorite directing credits include Little Women (Orphan Girl Children's Theatre), Peter and the Starcatcher (Orphan Girl Community Theatre), the recently published Bitterroot by James Venhaus (Orphan Girl Children's Theatre), A Mile High and a Mile Deep (The Clark Chateau Radio Players), and Alice in Wonderland (Standby for Places Podcast). Her favorite acting credits include Annelle in Steel Magnolias (Theatre Workshop of Nantucket/Tennessee Williams Festival), Annie Sullivan in The Miracle Worker (Orphan Girl Theatre), Jewel in Pitiful Beautiful Pittance (Last Chance Play Festival Helena, voted the best actor), and Google in Little Egg, Big World (National Women’s Theatre Festival Occupy 2022). Her acting expands to the screen with commercials for Mastercard, PureView Health Center, and the Grub Hub 2019 Year in Review, as well as a co-star on Yellowstone Season 4, Cindy in Heart and Home's Finding Love in Big Sky, MT, the supporting role of Maria in Broke (Working Title) with Wyatt Russell. Jackie has acted and directed in ten different states and two countries over the past 14 years of her professional career and is excited to bring her knowledge to AET and SW Montana www.jackiefreemanvetter.com.
About Anaconda Ensemble Theatre
Anaconda Ensemble Theatre is a newly formed, professional non-profit ( non-profit status pending) theatre located in Anaconda, MT. Our mission is to create culture for the community by empowering artists to engage and challenge audiences. We envision an artistic home comprised of people of all artistic backgrounds who, through their creativity, will connect and create conversation with our community. We value CULTURE, ARTISTRY, and COMMUNITY. The team at AET is composed of Jackie Vetter (Founding Artistic Director/Board President), Jamie Foy (Board VP), Jessica Merkley (Board Secretary), and Micheal Muro (Board Member at Large). AET plans on producing 2 to 3 shows a year and also working on an events-based incubator project called Creative Hub.
